Terms of Use
Last updated 2026-10-28
- Orbit is free for personal use.
- It comes as is, without warranty.
- You're responsible for following X's rules when you use X through Orbit.
- Orbit isn't affiliated with or endorsed by X Corp.
1. Agreement
These terms cover the Orbit app for macOS and this website, made by Gjorge Karakabakov ("I", "me"). By downloading or using Orbit, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't download or use Orbit.
2. License
Orbit is free of charge. I give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, install and use Orbit on Macs you own or control, for personal use. You may not sell, rent or redistribute Orbit, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.
3. X and your account
Orbit displays x.com in Apple's WebKit. When you use X through Orbit, you're using X's service, and X's Terms of Service, rules and policies apply. You're responsible for complying with them and for everything you do with your X accounts.
Orbit is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by X Corp. "X" and related marks belong to X Corp.
4. Orbit Cards
The Orbit Cards panel loads orbitcards.app, a separate service governed by its own terms and privacy policy.
5. Privacy
How Orbit handles data is described in the Privacy Policy.
6. No warranty
Orbit is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. I don't promise that Orbit will be error-free, that it will keep working with X, or that X will remain available through it.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, accounts, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Orbit or your inability to use it. Because Orbit is free, my total liability for any claim is limited to zero, or to the lowest amount the law allows if it can't be zero. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
8. Changes and discontinuation
I may change, suspend or discontinue Orbit, or any part of it, at any time. I may also update these terms; the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Using Orbit after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of North Macedonia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This doesn't take away consumer protections you have under the laws of the country where you live.
